Talking About It
I am an experienced integrative psychotherapist who draws on different models depending on what is helpful. My main approach is psychodynamic, which is based on the psychoanalytic tradition and understands that unconscious processes and past experiences influence our present.
In addition to my private practice, I have experience working for charitable organisations and the NHS, including the Maudsley Hospital, offering psychodynamic psychotherapy for patients with complex presentations.
I am an Accredited Member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy), which means that I abide by the ethical principles and guidelines laid down by these governing bodies which regulate the practice of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
Qualifications
BSc Hons degree in Integrative Counselling approved by the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy).
Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, approved by the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy). Theories included Psychodynamic and Existentialism.
Masters of Science in Psychology.
I believe it is important to keep learning, and regularly attend workshops and seminars to continue with my professional development.
